It was a bleak day when Menk Chui stumbled upon the purple, swirling mist back on Ispar. Rainy, foggy, cloudy - if only these days would be better, he thought. Was it fate? Was it destiny? Who knows. However, it was that purple, swirling mist, which he would later come to know as portals, that changed his life forever. After arriving on the other end of the portal, Menk found himself at the East Shoushi Outpost, with the weak short sword he was clearing brush with, and the clothes on his back. He didn't know what to make of what had happened to him, as most newcomers to Dereth ever do. So, what did he do? Go in the next purple, spinny thing he say thinking that it would take him back home. Instead, he landed inside the "Tutorial" dungeon. It was then the thought set in that he wasn't going home. The buildings looked familiar, and very much like home. He was a Sho, and it so happened that he landed in a Sho settlement on Dereth in Shoushi. Realizing his fate, Menk went onward to make due with what he could. He met a man named Apostle Mikito, who seemingly convinced him to become his patron under the Fubar Wing allegiance. Menk had heard about all the allegiance and monarchy deals on Ispar, but was too young to truely experience them. Menk continued his travels meeting and hunting with a few people along the way, one of them being Nuf Sho. One night while in Shoushi, he had overheard some people talking of a place called Hebian-To, and that they were going there. Menk decided to tag along, and made it to the town's lifestone with little trouble. However, now he didn't know where to go from there. Like before, he went into a portal, hoping to take him back to where he wanted. Instead, he landed in Cragstone. It was there in Cragstone's Meeting Hall, that Menk met Sanglant, also known as Pyreal Sword. Begging for help like a school girl to find his way back home, Menk came across Sanglant who instantly helped him. He gave him a shield, a few pyreals, some new armor, and helped him get back to Shoushi. From then on, Menk remembered that name. Hunting with Nuf Sho in the Shoushi area, around the base of the Linvak Mountains, and in the depths of the Green Mire Grave, Menk found himself becoming more experienced with his Sword. For some odd, reason he decided to learn the art of picking locks as well. However, Menk's patron, Apostle Mikito was no where to be found. Menk decided to give up on his searches for him, and went out to find Sanglant. Soon there after, Menk swore to Sanglant and became a member of the famed Knights of the Pyreal Tower. Based out of Samsur, The Pyreal Tower allegiance was one of the largest in the land. Spearheaded by it's two great alchemists, The Pyreal Tower himself and his friend, assistant, and confidant Quill, The Pyreal Tower built an allegiance based upon honor and trust. It was there that Menk would begin to fully experience life in Dereth. Menk headed out with Nuf Sho and a few new friends to the storied Rithwic Tower, where Banderling raids sky-rocketed and many times sent you to the lifestone. Once he reached 15th circle, Menk headed with them to The Pit where he would become acquainted with the many Monoguas, and a man named The Mauler, who taught him the skills of Arcane Lore. Around the same time he became 18th level, Sanglant had become Pyreal Sword - and, Menk became very familiar with Dereth's great outdoors. Through the many outdoor hunting trips with Sword, Menk explored the vast Aluvian lands of Dereth from the mountains to the north, to the city of Glendon Wood to the west, and the fort of Dryreach to the southeast. Through all of this hunting, Menk met many, many people and accomplished many, many things. With the help of Pyreal Sword he acquired his first atlan, and with the help of numerous followers of the Pyreal Tower, Menk recieved all of his Major Elemental stones as well as his Sword of Lost Light. Menk became acquainted with the likes of Hobo al-Bargq, Maehdras, Rand Althor, his co-vassals Codemaster II, Ulath Trollbane, and Abinito, Pyreal Mystic, Pyreal Sun, Pyreal Archmage, Daemon Lifesbane, Mary the Mysterious, Silverdragon II, Pyreal Stoner, Ric, Calidran, The Lost Pyreal, Ryu Sion, Octavian, Gax, Carcharodon, Akif al-Zurich, Bandar Dragonwind, and a list of others. It was about this time that Menk began to become close friends with one of his co-vassals Ulath Trollbane, who became Ulath Pyreal, and can now be known as Tycho Silvermane and Pyreal Railgun. However, it is Ulath who has been Menk's friend in Dereth the longest of any person. The two of them went through a lot together as co-vassals, followers, friends, and brothers-in-arms. You see, like Apostle Mikito before him, Pyreal Sword one day just ... vanished. His followers, who made Sword the luckiest patron in all of Dereth, had many tough decisions to make. Menk decided that he wanted to stay in The Pyreal Tower, he just wasn't sure where. Ulath had just sworn to fellow clansman Hobo al-Bargq, as had Abinito. Menk decided to swear to the person who had helped him out the most over that time, Ulath Pyreal. The two formed a bond of not patron and vassal, but friends. With his new found family in The Pyreal Tower, Menk began to learn a lot. It was a long day in the recently discovered Lugian Citadels that Menk finally achieved Thirty-Second circle, and learn the art of Item Enchantment. Soon there after, Menk started to acquire vassals of his own, one in particular named The Blue Pyreal - who remained very loyal to Menk. While searching for vassals, Menk ran across a girl named Lovey. Menk later found out that Lovey had a sister, Mia al-Khaeli, who was married to the man who had become the largest monarch in Dereth, Hellhawk. Unfortunately, Mia has since gone off to try to find that portal back home. However, time goes on ... Over all of this time, Menk had moved himself all about the land of Dereth. In his "younger" years, he remained in Shoushi until he joined the Pyreal Tower and moved to Cragstone with Pyreal Sword, who then moved off to a spot in Hebian-To now claimed by supposed "Chosen Ones." After that, Menk finally moved to Samsur, which became his home.
